So you want a silver egg?
I could use your help.

Just like many others, I have decided to start a ‘save the common dragons project’!

Why?

Unfortunately, hunting rare dragons became very hard lately due to overcrowded abandoned page. And when there are finally less eggs there, then the New Pink/Purple/Green/Mint/Gray/Magi/White eggs are dropped which prevent new eggs from appearing. Every third egg is one of these. Nobody wants to take New Pink/Purple/Green/Mint/Gray/Magi/White eggs because they are ‘common’ (or they just dislike their sprites, maybe), so they just wait for others to pick those eggs up. This can take a while… It's very unlikely that you can steal your desired egg.

Then, somebody decides to take an egg after all and abandon it later on, or worse; kill the egg, so that he/she will be able to snatch a rare in his/her other free spot. Great… >_<

Killing eggs is a bad and worthless action. Do NOT do it! Due to the ratios, another green egg will appear in its place later on.

There are people who raise these eggs until they become hatchlings and abandon or release them. It’s a very nice thing to! ^^ But, we won’t do that.

I’ve created a black army when the black eggs were still very common and now I'm past my goal of 50. I’ve also managed to obtain a few rare eggs with thanks to my friends… <3 So now, it’s time for me to work on another little project. And I need your help, because I can’t make the difference alone.

My neighbor Kertahlian inspired this. He’s not very active on the forums anymore, but he’s turning his scroll into a green dragon paradise. Go Ker!

My point is: I’ve decided to make an army of frozen caveborn common hatchlings. Such as green, mint, white, mage, gray, pink, purple… And I want you to do the same thing! The problem is that I don’t know how I should convince people to help, so I will offer silvers. Maybe geodes, too. I’d give golds if my dragon finally decided to be... sexy. ^^;

The rules in a Q&A form:

Q: How can I sign up for this project?
A: Just post here saying that you want to join. Not complicated at all, isn’t it?

Q: Can I freeze hatchlings with a famous lineage?
A: Err… People would get angry if you froze a Dorkface, so try to pay attention to lineages before freezing please.

Q: Can I smash a few eggs first?!
A: NO! Absolutely not!

Q: Why should we freeze those hatchlings? Can’t we let them grow up?
A: I don’t want people to breed their commons because of the reason I have stated above. Somebody could hack your scroll and breed your army too… 0-0; And it saves us time.

Q: But I really-really-really want to raise them until they mature!
A: Sigh. Because people really want to do this... Okay, just make sure to not to breed them. If you accidentally do, then you must keep the produced egg.

Q: So do my own, kept and bred eggs count towards my limit?
A: No, they don't. Sorry, have a cookie!

Q: Then why can’t we just release them?
A: Because I want you to keep them so that I will know that you do deserve that silver egg after all. Hey, earning silvers is fun to do! ^^

Q: Can I release them after I receive my silver egg?
A: Nope, sorry.

Q: How many silver eggs can I receive?
A: 6 frozen commons = 1 silver egg. You can get as many as you want... But I will try to give everyone an equal amount of silvers. Even if you have 12 frozen commons already, I might still be giving eggs to people down the list. It's fair like that.

Q: Can I receive other rare eggs too?
A: Yes, you can. A geode egg = 4 frozen hatchlings. A split egg = 5 frozen hatchlings. A gold egg = 10 frozen hatchlings. Donating alts, chickens and dinos isn't possible, I'm sorry.

Q: Can I trade away my silver egg?
A: It’s your choice. I’ll keep records of who got how many eggs, so you won’t be able to beg for another one without doing anything. But yes, feel free to do so!

Q: What happens if I miss the silver egg?
A: We can give you a second, final chance. Other people want their eggs too after all.

Q: Can I make a banner?
A: Yes! Please do so! 8D But we are accepting up to 25 banners.

Q: I want to breed more of my rare dragons because I'm a donator already, but I don't want to inbreed! What to do?
A: You can just ask us to give you a rare egg which you will be able to breed your own dragons with when it grows up. Make sure to give the one who donated you that new egg one of your eggs in return (unless the person does not want anything in return)! It's fair like that.

Q: Can I be a thread mod?
A: I don’t need help right now, but once people start signing up for this project, I would greatly appreciate your help. I'll mention it here when I need help. You have to be active and nice though. Being a donator is required.

Q: Can I give people rares too?
A: I’d absolutely love it if you helped me out! Just sign up to be a donator by filling in this list and PM it to me:

Q: Do all commons count towards my limit?
A: No. Only the common which are listed in the 'quick stats' section do. Sorry.

Q: What if I already own an army of commons before I sign up?! Do they count?
A: Of course! Just state your previous accomplishments with proof and I'll update the quick stats and contact a donator.

Q: How many donators are allowed to sign up?
A: 40, temporary donators included. But this might change. If I notice that a donator is inactive, then I'll remove him or her from the list.

Q: Can I just randomly give away eggs in this thread if I'm a donator?
A: No! You are not supposed to ask people to PM you. That's my job, I'll PM YOU if I need your help. I can only keep track of every trade like that...

Frozen Hatchling Value Section

Geode egg = 4 frozen commons
Split egg = 5 frozen commons
Silver egg = 12 frozen commons
Striped egg = 6 frozen commons, too (you are allowed to ask for a specific colour, but that is worth +1 more frozen hatchling)
Gold egg = 18 frozen commons

I noticed that it's 6 commons for a stripe 7 for a specific color. I have 8. Would it be possible to get a male gendered stripe hatchie. I would like to be a breeder for this project and I won't be sucessful unless I get one otherwise I may end up contributing to the common Ap blockage. If I need to get more frozen hatchlings I will but at the moment I am scroll-locked.

Eggs you yourself bred don't count either, as we're trying to eliminate unwanted eggs from the cave. And yes, one more and you can be on the list for a silver...but it'll be awhile. The rares are giving their mates much love, these days.

I understand. I have 1 common (a Frill) that I've bred myself, and didn't count that one either. And yeah, I read somewhere that the rares are difficult to breed these days (or something like that)... Anyways - I don't mind waiting

@sfimom ~ The stripe has to be bred, it can't be CB because its too hard for donaters. Also, cheeses aren't gifts here because the gifted eggs can't be CB (lorienne's rule). Also, blacks and vines don't count for this project.
