**PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST BEFORE REQUESTING A REPLACEMENT, ESPECIALLY WHAT IS IN RED.**

There must be a post in the Lost in Trade (LiT) thread (LINK) seeking your lost trade before asking for a replacement here. You must provide a link to it in your post here.

We have a 3 hour waiting period before requesting a replacement. You must wait 3 hours from your post in the LiT thread before posting here.

There will now be a maximum number of requests a person can make before they will have to wait for a period of 30 days until requesting again. Starting 8.9.09, after a person makes a tenth request, no more requests can be made for 30 days. If a person continues to make frequent requests after the 30 days, more restrictions may be put into place on that player.

This project is for the replacement of dragons lost in trade. Therefore, you may only request a replacement for vampires that are lost in trade, NOT ones that were lost because they were repulsed when bitten.

The purpose of this project is to do a little good by replacing dragons that have been lost in the process of gifting or trading. Our “replacers”, when they are willing to do so, will breed or offer a replacement dragon for one that was lost.

HOW IT WORKS:

There are four ways which someone might eligible for a replacement dragon:

1. By a replacer seeing their post in the LiT thread and contacting them about a replacement. This is a “surprise replacement”.

2. By the person offering the original gift or trade which was lost to post here in order for us to replace it for the intended receiver.

3. By the intended receiver who actually lost the gift or trade to post here.

4. By a replacer posting that s/he has an egg or hatchling available that matches what was lost in a trade or gifting.

HOW TO REQUEST A REPLACEMENT

Replacers will not hold onto your replacement for an extended period! We are not a scroll-sitting service who will hold onto the egg or hatchling we are gifting to you until you decide you can take it.

--> If you agree to accept a replacement, your scroll MUST be unlocked and you MUST be ready to take it RIGHT AWAY.

Please copy and paste the EXACT following form into a post and fill it out accordingly. Failure to do so may lead to you not being added to the list. Please fill out full names (please don't put "me") and exact dates (please don't put "yesterday" or "2 days ago") so it can be verified easily. Please DO NOT contact a replacer directly and ask for a dragon. You need to post your request here and wait for someone to contact you.

Please realize that you are not guaranteed a replacement by posting here. We will try our best to replace lost gifts/trades, but there may be reasons that you are not chosen to receive one. They may include: questions about the validity of your trade/gift; the tone of which you asked for the dragon back in the LiT thread; and the availability of the dragon you lost, to name a few.


The following actions will cause you to be blacklisted from this project:

1. Killing the replacement dragon.
2. Re-trading, re-gifting, or releasing into the Wild the dragon without first seeking permission from the replacer.
3. It is discovered that you have scammed the project in some way, either by falsifying a trade or by other means.

The following actions will cause you to be warned and temporarily removed from any lists for a determined time (repeated warnings can lead to black-listing):

1. Begging for replacements either in this thread or via PM.
2. Being rude to a replacer.
3. Exploiting the project by using it as a scroll-sitting service.
4. Exploiting the project by trying to acquire replacements as gifts for someone else.


HOW TO SIGN-UP AS A "REPLACER"

People who want to be a replacer need only post so here or send a PM to this account or my Flame Rising one. If you want to, you can tell me what breeds you are willing to replace, but it's not necessary as you will be the ones choosing whom to contact.


WHAT DOES A REPLACER DO?

Replacers can either:

--> Randomly choose a person who lost a dragon in the LiT thread and surprise them by PMing them and asking if they want a replacement

Replacers, please post in bold the name of the person you have PM'd from the LiT thread as a surprise replacement so no one else sends a message to that person. And also, please check this thread for those bolded announcements before you PM someone from the LiT thread. Thanks much!

--> Posting available eggs or hatchlings here for those who have lost one to contact you. For example, if you bred a gold, you could post it here in case someone has lost a gold and posted about it in the LiT thread. To do so, please use the following form:

Replacers, please note: if you do this, it is completely up to you whether or not to accept a person's replacement request for your posted dragon. You can check out their LiT post to make sure if it is a true lost item and not a scam. You are NOT obligated to gift the replacement if you think something is not right or you wish not to.

--> Choose a person off of the lists (in the below post). In their initial posts, the person will include the type of dragon lost; if it will be frozen or not (for those who don't want their offspring frozen); and their time zone and normal times on to make the drop go easily.

What I intend to do is keep a list by breed of the lost trades and have a PM link by the name. That way replacers can check the lists and see to whom they want to send a replacement if they are able to breed an egg.

As a replacer, you are in control and you mandate your own guidelines. How long you are willing to hold onto an egg is entirely up to you. If at any point you feel that you are being scammed or taken advantage of, please do not hesitate to tell the person that your offer is no longer available. If you feel it warrants so, please also contact me and let me know if someone is exploiting the project.

WHAT TO POST ONCE A REPLACEMENT HAS BEEN MADE:

Once you have either received or given a replacement, if one of you could please post in BOLD like this:

Replacer/Receiver's Name/Type of Dragon

I can then cross them off the list so no other replacer contacts them. They will then be added to the "successful replacement" list for those who want to keep track.

Also, if you do a "surprise replacement", please make the above post as well just so other replacers know not to choose that person randomly off of the LiT trade, too.
