By requesting dragons through this service, you are accepting these rules. If you break them, we have every right to remove you from lists or ban you from our service.

TGT reserves the right to refuse/ban anyone who is believed to be cheating or not acting in accordance with the Dragcave Terms And Conditions.

Read the whole post. If you do not follow the rules, you will not get onto a list. If you continue to not follow the rules, you may be temporarily or permanently banned.

The purpose of this thread is to help breeders find good homes for their dragons, as well as give those with poor connections a chance to get the dragon they’re looking for.

You will only be added to a list if there is a free spot. A free spot is a number with no name next to it. Don't forget to check the thread also to see if the open spot has already been claimed. This is the only list.


Anyone may give eggs or hatchlings to anyone here. You do not need to be on any list to give.


So you want to get a dragon....

In order to be eligible for any lists of this thread, you should:
• Not have any dead dragons for any reason. Failed attempts to get a Zombie, Vampire or a Neglected, deads from earthquakes, killed eggs/hatchlings/adults, eggs/hatchlings that have run out of time do count as dead and if you have them on your scroll you are not eligible for the lists until the fade away. Zombies don't count as dead. There will be no exception from that rule on halloween!
• Keep your scroll visible at all times, eggs, hatchlings and adults. Even after you are on a list, it must remain visible so that we can make sure you are still eligible to be on a list. Fogging is allowed when you are already on the list but not while requesting to be put on a rare's/uncommon's list. Be prepaired that a mod might ask you to unfog the item so they can see what it is.
Commons list:
• Have at least five (5) adult dragons to be on the Commons list.
• You may only be added to up to six (6) commons list at one time. If you would like to be added to another list after that, you must ask to be removed from one of the lists you are on.
Uncommons list:
• Have at least five (5) adult dragons to be on an Uncommons list.
• You may only be added to up to two (2) Uncommons lists at one time. If you would like to be added to another list after that, you must ask to be removed from one of the lists you are on.
• Not have more than up to two (2) of that type of dragon, if it is an Uncommon. (That is, if you have 3 red striped, you cannot be on the red striped list. But if you have 3 blue stripes and only 2 red striped, you can still be on the red striped list.) Getting your third will bump you off the list.
Rares list:
• Have at least ten (10) adult dragons to be on a Rares list.
• You may only be added to up to two (2) Rares lists at one time. If you would like to be added to another list after that, you must ask to be removed from one of the lists you are on.
• Not have any of that type of dragon, if it is a rare. (That is, if you have a silver, you cannot be on the silver list. But if you have a gold and no silver, you can still be on the silver list.) Getting your first will bump you off the list.
• Alt Black and Alt Vine lists - Since alt eggs don't have a separate sprite and since Alt Blacks and Alt Vines are rare it would be unfair to let the breeder do all the work while the lister does nothing. To show that you are still trying to get an alt on your own, to be on an alt list you must keep a bred one of that type of egg on your scroll, to hatch it to see if it is an alt. I.e., if you're on the alt black list, you must have a bred black egg on your scroll. If the egg hatches and is not an alt, you have 48 hours to obtain a new bred egg or you will be removed from the list.
• Alt Nebula list - As long as Alt Nebulas are not considered rare you only have to fit the requirements for uncommons lists. You do not have to try to breed one on your own.

To get onto a specific list you must:
• Request for yourself as we do not add scrolls from friends/relatives/people with no forum-account.
• Name the list(s) you want to be added to. Be specific as we don't accept either/or/any requests, we're not going to choose for you.
• Not intend to freeze the dragon. We do not put people on lists with the sole intention of freezing the dragon they will receive.
• Not have fogged eggs or hatchlings when requesting to be added to a rare's or uncommon's list, since we can't tell that they aren't the rare/uncommon you're requesting. If necessary, contact a mod/white lister to verify what it is you need fogging. You are free to fog any egg or hatchling once you're on the list(s).
• Have read and understood all the rules, fill out the requesting format, post the proof that you read the rules (more below)
Gender Preference - For Commons Only: If you prefer a certain gender but are willing to raise it from an egg, mention it. Those requesting gendered hatchlings may be bumped from a list if there are people willing to take eggs instead. If you decide not to keep it due to gender, please pass it on as a gift to someone else, preferably via TGT. If you are NOT willing to raise it from an egg, do NOT claim you would be. Do not use a gender claim to get around raising the dragon. If you are found doing either of these, you will be temp-banned.
Inbred: If you do not want an inbred dragon, mention it. Those refusing inbreds will be bumped from a list if there are people willing to take an inbred. If you get an inbred by mistake though you said you do not want an inbred you are allowed to gift it to someone else who doesn't care. Those who do not mention if they accept inbred or not are considered as "non inbred prefered but willing to take inbred".
You cannot ask for caveborns, short gens or special lineages as TGT is not a breeding/catching service.

You will only be added to a list if there is a free spot. A free spot is a number with no name next to it. Don't forget to check the thread after the last update to see if the open spot has already been claimed. Do only request when the spot is still open. This is the only list.

Being higher on a list does not guarantee you the next egg. This is not a breeding service. You should keep looking to get the eggs elsewhere (let us know if you succeed, so we can take you off the list).

No-nos that can get you banned:
• Begging (Asking for dragons directly in the thread will be considered begging, so only request to be added to a list by using the form below)
• Asking to be on a list that has not yet been created (ie; for new breeds). The thread-mods will announce when a new list goes live.
• Asking to be added to any non-existing list such as Neglected, Zombies or Holiday.
• PM'ing gifters unless they have PM'ed you/offered the dragon in the thread.
• PM'ing gifters who offered a dragon to listers when you are not on the list.
• Only taking older eggs/hatchlings to avoid the work/time to raise them.
• Only asking for hatchlings because you are locked.
• Parking eggs/hatchlings on other scrolls because you are locked.
• Moving eggs to any other scroll than the one listed.
• Not telling a gifter that you got the rare you're requesting but are still on the list if they contact you with another offer.
• Killing gifted dragons. If you kill a gifted dragon, you will be temp-banned for two weeks longer than the time it takes for the dead dragon to leave your scroll. If you do so a second time, you will be banned from the thread.
• Trading away gifted dragons. (This will get you perma-banned INSTANTLY.) Wrongly-gendered dragons should be regifted, preferably via TGT. Note that eggs need to hatch to keep their Influence before being teleported!
• Re-gifting gifted dragons without permission from the breeder/gifter.
• If something bad happens to a dragon you were given (it dies, you accidentally lose it), tell both the Breeder and the TGT mods immediately.

Keep in mind:
• Be polite!
• Use the code formats when requesting to be added to / removed from the lists and reporting a gift.
• Edit your request if no update has been run and your request is no longer valid.
• Accept eggs - we will bump people who won't take eggs if a list is full.
• Respond to every PM you receive, even if just to say that you can't take it or if you think the egg is gone. Listers who don't reply to PM's risk being removed from any list they're on.
• Let us know if you will be gone for more than 3 days so we can take you off lists.
• Let a breeder know if you want to freeze or pass on the dragon if it is the wrong gender.
• You've read and understood the rules? If yes and if you agree to the terms and applications please name the following colors in the requesting format:
If you have no badge (5 - 49 adults): Blue
If you have a Bronze badge: Green
If you have a Silver badge: Purple
If you have a Gold badge: Orange
• After successfully giving or receiving an egg, one of you have to post the gift here in the thread.
• State whether the giftee should be removed from the list. Note: Giftees can stay on common's lists as long as they like to.
• A reported gift MUST stay on the giftee's scroll!
• Thank anyone who gives you a dragon!

Please be aware that any faulty gift report might end up not being listed. This is because every gift listed gets copied and pasted into our lists.

• Need to be removed from the lists (received dragon outside of TGT / no longer interested / no longer eligible) :

So you want to give a dragon...

Givers / Breeders: Feel free to message as many listers as possible and give it to the first responder. (Just let us know you did so. =P). You can also set your own requirements on top of the TGT ones if you wish to do so. If there are gender preferences, the adopter may pass on your egg if it turns out the wrong gender, but should try to keep it within the Giving Tree.

Gendered hatchlings: If you are giving away a gendered hatchling, please give preference to those who would be willing to take an egg. If someone is marked with a *, they are looking for a male but will take an egg. If someone is marked with a **, they are looking for a female but will take an egg. Those who will not take anything but a gendered hatchling will be marked with "male" or "female" only.

Don't delete posts that shows where you offered an egg/hatchling. You can scratch the offer and list the gift in the same post or if you need to make a new post because an update has been run in the meanwhile quote it, list the gifting and then delete the original if you wish. If you don't show where an egg/hatchling is offered up to the thread, and it is gifted to a non-lister, then the gift doesn't count since there is no way to prove it was offered in the thread.

Trades should be done at the Dragon Trading Thread or at The Rare Trading Center V3

Anyone may give eggs or hatchlings to anyone here. You do not need to be on any list to give. To be listed as a 'giver' (Gifter's list = honor roll) you must have given out more than 10 dragons.

Keep in mind:
• Be polite.
• Mention TGT in PM's so the giftee knows which rules to obey and where to post the gift.
• Report listers who have not responded to your gifting offers within 24 hours by PM'ing Foundling Foundation with the name of the listers.
• Report non-listers who are asking for an egg offered for listers only by PM'ing Foundling Foundation with the information.
• Report any giftee who breaks the rules, preferably by quoting PM's or linking to posts by PM'ing Foundling Foundation with the information.
• Do not post a gift as successful until that egg/hatchling is on the giftee's scroll.
• If you want TGT to have jurisdiction over your egg/hatchling, only give the Teleport link in a PM.
• Teleport links given in the thread are considered FFA's (free for all), and can be used any way the person getting the egg desires. This also includes dummy trades since there is no way of proving who got the egg in the end.
• Only ask for something in return if you're out of Magis and need the giftee to provide a teleport link. The egg received should be a random AP junk egg and needs to be discarded afterwards.

Note: Names link to the scrolls. This helps the mods to make sure anyone listed remains eligible, and for breeders to see the scrolls of potential giftees.

Names used are the forum names, the name at which you should PM the adopter.

• Gifter reporting a gift (if the giftee did not already report it):

Concerning Chat/thread conduct:

Do
• Pay attention to the thread mods and white listers!

Don't
• Break the ToS of the Dragon Cave site or forums
• Harass other users in this thread
• Spam the topic with short or off-topic posts or start thread drama.
• Double post for any reason. Please edit your previous post instead.
• Quote open offers repeatedly. If an offer is still open and you want it seen then repost/quote it but delete the first offer post.
• Bold things that are not related to the thread updates. (like failed gifting, or gifts available.)
• Post gifts unrelated to TGT. A TGT gift is a gift offered within the thread and/or a gift to a lister. Gifts that should not be posted are trades and gifts to random strangers outside the thread.
• Ask questions that belong in the 'Help section' (ie 'Is my dragon an Alt?')

These can be modified at any time, so make sure you check back on them.

If you see someone not posting in the right format or not following the TGT rules, please let the thread mods and white listers take care of that. Any misconduct, begging and/or rule breaking should be PM'ed to Foundling Foundation.

You need to replace the words with the names of the Gifter and Giftee and what breed it is.

That's actually a Spring egg, and a pretty one at that. Too bad I'm egglocked ...

I wanted to post(wasnt sure WHERE),but that I had a sick (fogged) egg & when I was breeding this shimmer that was gifted to me(in order to "share the Love" specifically),I miscounted my eggs as 6,and my beautiful just bred shimmer egg was auto-abandoned by total accidental stupidity on my part!
Of course,whoever DID find it in the AP wouldnt ever be asked to return a fair claim,(although my offers for said egg would be....worthwhile)!!
I DO please please ask that whoever got egg PLEASE at least contact me to let me know they will give shimmer a good home....and also(MOST IMPORTANT),if you could please use it for "SHARING THE LOVE" in gifting(no trading,it would be much less of a sick feelimg in my gut...the egg is from THIS ancestry...

Eggs dropped into the AP are added two more days to their time, correct? So in theory it would be a few days still before your shimmer is claimable? I would really like to see someone from the Giving Tree receive rather than someone random.

Where would it gain 2 days from? It hadn't ever been incubated, after all. Also, I don't think bred and autoabandoned eggs gain *anything* since they are at maximum time of 7 days.

I assumed this myself since once I tried to re-capture an egg of mine (I wanted it because it's code was BAkon) and I noticed while tracking it that it randomly tagged on two days. It was quite the conundrum.
