For those who are starting to grab them now They can be found in 3 different Biomes:

 

Alpine, Coast, Volcano.

EDIT: So far I've observed this:

 

Purple: Alpine

Orange: Coast

Red: Volcano

I got three already! And now I'm locked for the night.

These eggs look interesting.

My guess is that there will be dimorphism. So a different sprite for the male and female with 3 different colors.

 

Polished stone, eh? The first thing that came to mind was Saphira's egg from the Inheritance Cycle lol.

Got two of each, and an extra of the purple. Kind of wish I had chosen the red instead, but oh well.

Yay, new eggs! :3 Managed to get two of the dark red ones from Alpine and two of the orangey ones from the Coast... now I just need to figure out where the red ones are hiding.

Woot! I only had room for 3 eggs, but I managed to catch one from each of the biomes! I think that is the first time I have ever caught that many eggs in the first drop of a new release!!!

 

These eggs are beautiful! And all with the same description. Hmmm!

Three of each means dimorphism in adults, but no hatchling dimorphism. So really unless you need a frozen hatchling immediately, there should be no concern about not having nine.
