Ha ha, using the computer for this one since I couldn't figure out the phone.

I'm just hoping for a long term solution for when I want to chat and don't have a phone, that's all. But it doesn't seem there is one.

EDIT: I used to do the chat a lot, back when I was home a lot and my laptop/internet was more reliable. Just looking to go back to that at some point, that's all.

There was a question about this just the other day. I'd never noticed the counter and went to look and it was there. I believe that was Friday or Saturday. So it hasn't been gone long.

You should be able to connect just fine using "irc.technoized.com." That's what I use on my Android devices to connect to IRC.

I just tried "irc.technozoid.com" as well.

"Connection error"

I have a good signal, so it shouldn't be that.
The connection fails quickly, and I'm at a loss.
I've double checked my spelling.
It's set to port 6667.

I'm not getting any specific errors, just a "Connection error".

Could Verizon be blocking it?

EDIT: Downloaded a third IRC program, this time the error is a bit more detailed.
"Disconnected: Host is unresolved: irc.technozoid.com"

Compared to last Christmas, I'm seeing a distinct lack of 'Holiday-egg wall'. Does breeding for the Vals still need to get into full swing, or do we usually have a Christmas wall but not a Valentine wall? (Didn't pay enough attention to the AP last Christmas to notice if it was a wall from the start, or only near the end of the event.)

I think there is a LOT of gifting going on. Also several people said they weren't breeding to make sure there wasn't a wall.... as it was wasteful !

Curiosity got the better of me so I grabbed my Android Phone and tried the chat. I went to TJ's profile and clicked the chat link in his sig. It worked for me.

Didn't stay though since my phone is so itsy bitsy teeny weeny. Couldn't see what people talked about.

Right. You can get on the chat on a phone, but I can only do it via the web.
I'm trying to set it up to work in an IRC app so that I can actually read things, but I can't seem to manage it.

Anyway, I'm just giving up and staying a non-IRC person, because I'm not going anywhere with this and I don't want to frustrate myself about it any longer.

I'm only breeding my v'days on request, so that I don't contribute to the AP wall. I think I may not be the only one either, since the wall has failed to materialize.

My Valentines will get bred, all of them, wall or not. But I tend not to breed them until the night before the release or the day of the release unless someone requests a specific pairing.

I have a question that may best been asked in its own topic, but I figured it would be a simple answer (Though maybe only answerable by TJ).

Here is the situation (note: it hasn't happened yet, but if I'm given the ok it will).

When you start games they often show the company(ies) name and an icon or whatever representing them. Now if I chose to use a sprite I've submitted for DC, does that mean it cannot be used on the site assuming its chosen? Or is it ok since I own the game and art in question? PS: I'd only use the adult, not eggs or hatchlings.

Not always sure how this stuff works.

For art theft reasons, we ask that any art on DC is purely for DC. If you wish to use a concept on another game, you need to let us know to pull the thread/art from here. If it is in cave, I believe you just can't use it or we'll have to completely pull it from the site/replace it with unique art.
