Our mission is to achieve (at least) an even-gen 6th generation consisting purely out of the current seasonal dragon and a matching (un)common dragon every single generation. And all of that before the Seasonals changes again!
The point of this thread is to exchange 2nd or higher gen eggs so every individual can 'collect' as many different breeding pairs as possible without actually owning them. For example, for an even-gen 6th generation you need 32 individual dragons in the first generation, and for an 8th gen that would be 128. That's rather a lot of dragons to raise for one single person, so we use teamwork to get as far as we can before the Seasonals change again.
We don't stick to any naming theme, because that's rather difficult if you want to get so far with an even-gen project in such a limited amount of time.

*How to join & requirements:

1. It's recommended to have at least one eligible dragon (one descendant from a CB sesonal x CB (un)common couple or a CB couple to breed one with).
2. You must be willing to gift/trade eggs, since the point of this project is to exchange eggs from different couples and get the longest even-gen as possible.
3. Got all that? Then just post to say you want to join!

*Rules:

-Don't kill, freeze or sell eggs that you've been gifted/traded, unless the gifter says it's fine.
-No inbreeding, please; we know it is possible to create an epicly inbred even-gen lineage with just one CB couple, but the point of this project is to create one with as many CB couples as we can collect.
-No begging.


*How this works:

Much of your success in this project will depend on your own initiative.
The intention is that breeders will offer their eggs on this thread (or to individual members, whichever they prefer), and the other members have to actively check whether there are eggs available, pm'ing the breeder to request the egg.

Some of us are starting the second year of this lineages, the dragon numbers are rising. And we need to keep track of them.
New members can get started faster when they can receive higher gen dragons and with this spreadsheet (new) members can request a breeding from specific dragons. But please be polite when you do.

- Any egg from any pair in the lineages (including 4th gen siblings) are up for grabs for people doing this project, so don't hesitate to PM me if you want me to breed you an egg :]

I am happy to breed for anyone that needs dragons for this project. My ices are stubborn, but I will certainly try them. I have ~6 breeding pairs. It could be up to eight, I'm not sure on my ice situation. PM if you'd like an egg.

Haha! I actually did not participate in this lineage last year due to the fact that I did not have ices at the time. I will gladly participate this year, though I will have to rely heavily on trading, as I only have two ice babies.

I'm excited. This is my favorite looking lineage of the four. And, I will gladly breed for people once I get my dragons all in a row.

Edit: PS, I am going to be much easier to trade with in the next few months. I am done student teaching, and the only things available for me are part time work and subbing. Thus, unless I get a sub position, I'm pretty much free.

PPS, if you would like, I would be happy to help fill out the google spreadsheet.

If everyone puts his couples nicely in the form, they show up to me in a spreadsheet. I only have to cut and past in the right tabs of the official spreadsheet. So it wouldn't be to hard to fill it out but thanx for asking.

Btw trading will be a lot easier once tj releases the teleport thing, then we wouldn't have to deal with the problems with timezones, meeting hours,... and with the higher egg/hatchling limits the "OMG he has a switching for me and I am locked" won't happen as fast.

I'll be glad when tj lets the transporting start. I lost an egg from eggy give a way the other day, because the gifter would only use the chatz and I didn't know when he was finished with his count down, so stopped refreshing before he dropped the egg. I'm use to using YM to trade.

As for time zones, I'm in CST.

Thanks; I did see that, but I wanted to be official. The new form looks great. I tried it out with my spring lineage. The only problem I can see with it is, if you only have one of a generation with no mate, you cannot add the dragon. For example, I have one third gen (second gen according to the form) spring dragon, but no pink mate. I was unable to add him to the form. Are we able to just add them to the spreadsheet then?

I have a CB of each gender for both species of dragons. Hopefully I'll find some more starting later today!

I did this because ... for trading it is important to be able to choose a couple unrelated to your own. Please show off all your dragons and ask for mates in topic but i thought it could be confusing when there are single dragons in the spreadsheet.
They'll be added as soon you have a compatible mate for them.

I'm joining again! I actually made a spreadsheet of my own dragons once, I'll see when I get around adding them to this one. Shame the Icicles are now so much harder to breed, but we'll see how far we get.
