Hey guys,

 

I've been sometimes going through Unapproved RPs as a crit and I was wondering if I could take the first test to see if I can become an Approver? I know I'm not a very high level as of yet, but I'd like to help out with getting RPs up and running for users. I'd be appreciative if I'd be able to apply.

You can just go ahead and send it to a moderator instead of posting here. If you send it to me or another moderator, we can all talk about it and let you know if you've been accepted in a bit.

I sent in an application, but I'm feeling kind of weird because of my low number of posts. cx My fingers are crossed, though!

I became an approver with a really low number of posts too. It shouldn't matter anyway. It's all up to your grammar/story knowledge, haha. Good luck!

This is a question about the second part of the approver test.

 

If you pass the first part and already have a bunch of crit that was written and posted before the test starts, does it count? I'm guessing it doesn't, but then I'm nervous since I have a bunch of crit already, so if I pass the first part, I think I'd fail...

We may look at it, but no it doesn't really count. The test is set up as it is for a reason - we like to see what kind of crit and how much you can be committed to within the time limit. Of course mods are reasonable about judging how many RPs are in the section and how many you complete (ie you send to a mod and they approve) and how much work each took and how active the OPs are and etc. There are tons of RPs in the section. We aren't just judging one thing (for example how good your grammar is) when you take the test. We're looking at many things. I really wouldn't worry about not having enough to critique too much. =3

AFAIK no one is testing right now? I know a lot of your RPs have been sitting around a while! Please PM me if you'd like it checked. I'm going to try and go over RPs the next few days, but I might skip if you look inactive of if you haven't posted that you've already taken care of previous crit you were given. o3o

 

EDIT: I know there's some confusion, so I'll just clear up: I can and do approve RPs. I'm not just helping look over - I will help get you to what I think is approve-able so I can approve your RP. :3

I'm somewhat inactive (sorry) but I'm still on, and I check my email everyday. If you shoot me a PM, I'll respond relatively fast as it's connected to my email, y'know. I'll still be around to critique/approve RPs. ^-^;

A reminder that the RP sections only show topics with posts from the last 30 days. If your topic is missing, it's probably hidden due to this. You can change the settings at the bottom of the forum. Select "from the beginning" and search. If your topic has gone hidden due to this, please bump it up so I know you're still interested and can critique.

 

Also, if you've been debating applying for approver, please do so! We could really use some more of you. <3

Oooookay, Update!

• I just sent out activity checks to all "hidden" RPs in this section. This section has gotten quite big, it might be time to clear out RPs you don't want to work on anymore. Many have critique that was never followed up on, others haven't seen any critique. Either way, I would like to know if users would like to continue these RPs or if we should not give them attention anymore. If you want your RP/s deleted, please let either DH or myself know. If you want to continue working on it, please bump it up so we know it is an active RP.
• To see hidden topics, go down to the bottom of the forum. You'll see a few drop down menus. Change the last to display topics "from: today" to "from: the beginning" and enter.
• If you didn't notice, two of our lovely mods, Mousia and Walker, have gone inactive. We'll miss their help around here! They have been removed from the list to PM your approver applications. </3
• If you sent in an application and it was never read or you never received a reply, please notify either DH or myself or post in this thread so we can look into it.
• We are still accepting applications if you want to apply for approver.

So hey, boop. I recall that you're allowed to retake the test on an old application sheet? I've been enjoying stalking Unapproved lately and feel like taking another crack at this. But I'm uncertain if I should send in a new app (It's been longer than I can remember since the last one, so there might be differences and stuff)

To become an approver, should you have been a member for a certain amount of time or had XXX amount of posts under your belt? :3
