Shiny new thread for soon-to-get shiny new games.

I won't be getting it right on release and don't have either of them pre-ordered, but I might get it next week. I have no idea which version I'd get though, been flip-flopping between them for a while.

I think I'm going to play White "normally" again, getting mons from early-ish in the game to make my team...

So probably:

Scraggy
Yamask (since I like having teams of 7. )

Black will be trades...

(...And I've spent the last few months doing a whole lotta collecting and trading, so I'm kinda burnt out on that for now.)

@Katt. Completely legit? No hacks or any use of device? Congrats.

I should probably follow your idea and complete either my Platinum or HeartGold just to pass the time until B/W.

That makes two of us. I've caught all 493 without cheating on my Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver versions; but at the cost of many jokes and comments from my family. Now all I need is Black and White so I can try to complete them.

I ended up getting black over white, as 1) black city is cool and 2) reshiram is prettier than zekrom in my opinion. However, I feel so cheated about the in-game available pokemon D:< Them dang white versioners get an adorable eagle and a cute embryo-thing, whereas -I- am stuck with an exceptionally ugly vulture and a creepy gothic loli thing. Gah!

is it true that you can use WPA if you want to trade?

I got white version in the post today which was a nice suprise as the internet said it wouldn't come till tomorrow lol

The DS only works with WEP security, as do the pokemon games, so no, you cannot trade with WPA security. :/ Which is a really big fail on Nintendo's part.

I can't wait till Sunday to get White and then get the Victini event thingy...Victini is sooo cute <3 How long does the Victini event last?

I hacked my Pearl version to get the complete Pokedex :U I'm working on completing my SoulSilver pokedex without a hack though. |D

Yeah, the DS doesn't work with WPA, but, from what I've heard, the 3DS does, so I'm hoping that the 3DS (once I get one) will allow me to connect to my WPA router with original DS games.

Yeah, almost all of them are legit trades from GBA games, or hunted down in Diamond.
I have over 400 trades on the back of my HG's Trainer card, just from trading with myself.

Hacks:
Shaymin, because I missed the event and found someone with an AR. Lugia, because I needed it on Sapphire, and Gale of Darkness wasn't out at that time. And Kyogre, because I was a noob and didn't want to wait to find out what happened next in the story...so I killed the one that was in my game. That was before I even seriously considered completing the 'Dex. Oh, and Deoxys too.

I think HG has Kyogre, and it obviously has Lugia. I'm just too lazy to go get them.
The rest is just a waiting game, 'cause the legendaries are always repeated for a new generation; it just takes a few years.

I'm almost finished with my pokedex too, but I still need deoxys, celebi, and arceus. I'll probably never get them, though.

I wasn't going to get a 3DS, but if it's compatable with WPA, I miiiiiiiiight get one. Maybe.

@Kamak: 7?? I'm way too lazy to raise more than 6 peokemon at once I usually have teams of 4, but with these games I'll likely have a team of 5 or 6.

I'll be going to the mall tour tomorrow, and I'm getting Black and White tomorrow. Now I just have to decide which I'll play first.

On March 10 i'll be buying Black Version cause its my birthday. (B&W came out JUST in time,i'm lucky I know).

Celebi is still at Gamestop until the 6th, so you should go get one. I'm pretty sure it's the same one that was being handed out at the Tour, right down to the ID and OT numbers.

I figured I'd drop this link here for anyone interested in some of the more minor details of the games that I covered when I ran through the games in September... might give you guys more reason to angst about the lack of the games some added info that was glossed over by the big sites and some stuff that may help get us excited about the games a bit more (not that we need it. )

Hm. New thread. For a second I was worried that the old thread would be deleted. So many memories and posts put into that thread. xD It will of course be deleted eventually, but y'know. I didn't want it to be sudden.

I've been thinking about my team lately. It's really, really hard, since there are SO MANY Pokemon I want to train and battle with. QwQ So I've made a list, separating the Pokemon by type (since I hate having two Pokemon of the same type in my team).

WARNING: GIGANTIC LIST Bahaha that's so huge and it took forever to make.

Can't wait! I've been looking forward to this for a long time (like many others), and of course my collector's side is looking forward to the figures from Gamestop... but is also dissatisfied because Toys R Us is giving out wall clings. Grrr can't get em all D=
