Dear Journal,
As expected, the legion made use of their servants to forcibly maintain their logistics in the stormy weather, which allowed them to continue their continental invasion at a reasonable pace despite the poor weather. One has to wonder how far-stretched can they make themselves to be before the servants unite and revolt though.

Some of our usual hunting grounds have to be disused, as legion invasion began to affect those areas, and we can't risk a confrontation with them in anywhere but our homefront. Food supply is still steady though, I hope it won't be affected too much before we have enough food stored for prolonged warfare.

We still don't really know if the legion is something that we can fend off, but that also means we're not going to evacuate our home without a fight.

Regards,
Master of Mages

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Master made a brief return to check on things, and his reaction to the current situation was... a bit unexpected.

Az took him to a tour about our war preparations so far, and he was satisfied, even with Az's unauthorized decision to move everything we stored to the shelter. He was also quick to notice that Az has been training himself hard lately in preparation of the war, but before Az could say anything, Master stopped him and told him: "I know, I know, I won't be able to stop you from stepping into battle when you think it is necessary. But just promise me one thing: Don't overdo it, I want to see you alive after the battle if it is to happen while I'm absent, alright?"

Just like me, Az was stunned by Master's utter lack of attempt to dissuade him from participating in the defense. But after recovering (rather quickly), he slightly nodded as a response. And Master was visibly satisfied with Az's willingness to make the promise.

I understand the motive behind Master's request. After all, Az once asked Master to end his life, so both of us are not really sure if he still has some of his suicidal tendency remaining. Heck, I am still not really sure if he will go with his promise and play safe if the battle do occur in the cave, guess I have to take extra care of him then.

Anyway, Master officially authorized Az to use whatever in his weapon stash before leaving, which will certainly help, considering how few weapons Az brought into our world.

Dairy:

Clouds of butterflies. Everywhere. These things that are supposed to be dragons are chasing them all over the place, and crashing into everything. One of them even dared to bash into me, then rushed off without an apology! How rude of it. Anyway I said supposed to be, but to my mind, they look like nothing more than fat little cats. Dragons should act like dragons, that's what I say.

Oh, all the noise at the moment. The smells, the endless calls of thousands of hatchlings begging ceaselessly to be fed. I can't stand it! I must have peace and quiet at all times!

~ Australis Orensis ~

Dear journal:

Heh heh. Oh dear, Australis does seem a bit upset at the moment, doesn't she? Maybe it's because her tail got torn to shreds by one of those horse-dragon-like-but-not-quite hatchlings. Mind you, she deserved it. The way she's been carrying on lately...

Won't sign this, just in case she finds it.

Dear Journal,

My goodness, the rush to catch these newly discovered dragon species has been exhausting! How amazing that Lord TJ knew that six new species would be found this week! At this rate, the incubators will be full until the beginning of June.
Indeed, it is rather difficult finding eggs with the caves packed with so many other trainers and their dragons, but fortunately, Auster and Sapphiro have been helping me grab them. While I have the advantage of agility and flight, Sapphiro simply lumbers past the trainers and blocks them from viewing the nest with his crystal wings. I do say, this method does seem rather unfair to the others! But Auster certainly doesn't complain!
Auster and I have been spending much of our time in the village recently, especially at the News stand. Lord TJ has been posting updates on his observations of his own new dragons, all of whom he has used magic on so they shall mature earlier than others. Lord TJ predicted the discoveries of the new dragons a few weeks prior to them being seen in the cave, so Auster and I had been collecting Red dragons like mad to help us with incubating the eggs.

Regards,

Izar the Magnificent
