Tristan continued on his steady plodding, head held up high, arms regularly pumping at his sides. He'd been doing this for years, and it showed. He hadn't even broken a sweat yet. His usual route was five kilometres each way, the park a stop for water inbetween. After about half an hour more of the same exercise, he drew into the park and came to a halt by the water fountain. Ah, that had been nice. The sun on his back, face into the gentle wind... Of course, it would be the opposite on the way back, but at least the start had been pleasant. Bending down slightly, he took a long drink from the fountain and then straightened. This was a good time to stretch; he was nice and warm. Going to his usual spot, he bent down to easily touched the floor, holding the stretch for a couple of seconds. Then he unfurled, and a small flash of red caught his eye. What was that? Looking for it, he found a red-headed boy in the tree which hung over his spot. "Morning," he greeted him, putting his hands on his hips. "Lovely morning, huh? Must be a nice view from up there..."

Marisa thought about while she chewed on her toast. It was a nice day outside and a bit of fresh air would be quite nice but for Tiffany to go alone worried her a bit. She knew those troublemakers might be keeping an eye on them and if she went out on her own she would be a bit target for them to hit. I can’t allow that she thought to herself finishing her toast.

“Sounds like a good idea. We do need to relax a bit every now and then anyways. I think anyway the others need their rest.”

"It sure is" said Daisuke lazily. He was leaning against the tree trunk and not really payng much attention to the boy sho had spoken to him. He was relaxing after all.

Tiffany smiled and turned back to her breakfast. Even though she was nervous about being around large groups of people, she liked going to the park. It was so large and pretty and now was just the right time of year to see many of the flowers in bloom. Besides Marisa would be with her, so there would be nothing to be afraid of.

When she finished her breakfast she left the bowl for the maids to collect and waited patiently for Marisa.

Marisa sat back in her chair looking at the table of food. She was still hungry but not so much that would kill her if she went out now. She looked at Tiffany who seemed to be waiting for her making her feel slightly pressured. Finally making a decision Marisa took two apples out of the fruit bowl and rose from out of her chair.

“We can go if you’re ready. A bit of fresh air would do us both good.” she spoke taking a bite into one of the apples.

Tristan nodded to himself, then continued on with his leisurely stretches. Getting down to the ground, he bent over to touch his feet, not an ounce of strain visible in his actions or expressions. "Going to be a beautiful day," he commented, partly to himself and partly to the boy in the tree. He didn't seem the chatting type, and Tristan felt perfectly fine in silence, although he felt the odd word or two appropriate. Suddenly frowning a bit, he glanced back up. "Be careful not to fall down, yeah? Don't wanna hear about some poor guy breaking his leg from something like that."

"Oh okay" said Tiffany standing up. "Let's go then."

Smiling she walked with Marisa to the main doors and into the garden. The gardener was hauling a large rose bush across the lawn and swearing loudly. Tiffany had to try very hard not to giggle.

"No danger of that" said Daisuke closing his eyes against the sun.

Marisa felt slightly guilty as the man struggled with the rose bush. Maybe telling him to surprise her might cause him to pop a vain or something. Still wide eyed the two girls left the mansion walking along the road.

“Hey Tiffany, here keep this with you.” Marisa spoke handing her one of those small taser things. “Julius gave me a speech the other day when I walked around with my knives. He wasn’t happy about but he knew why I did so. In any case I got one of these. I want you to hold on it today. You know just to be prepared for anything.”

Tiffany took the taser but didn't look to comfortable holding it. She had never held a weapon in her life before and wasn't sure if she could hurt someone, even in self defence.

"Thank you" she said putting the taser in her bag.

The two of them walked out of the grounds together and started to walk down the pavement towards the park. It wasn't very far away and only took them about ten minutes to arrive. They weren't the only ones to have hit on the idea of coming here, several dozen other people were walking around or running and playing on the grass. One family had even brought some kind of picnic breakfast.

Tristan finished with his stretches, feeling quite limbered up and ready for his day. Maybe he'd go down to the track today - do some high-jump and practice his javelin throwing. It was sorta cool to think that he knew how to throw a weapon used in ancient times. "Nice talking to you," he said to the guy in the tree, before walking to the nearby water fountain and having another drink.

“Maybe we should have made a picnic basket as well.” Marisa spoke smiling as she saw a couple of people sitting on the grass packing out boxed lunches and some cooldrinks. Standing and looking around Marisa felt glad that they took this walk. The sun was bright and warm causing her to feel half lazy. Far in the distance she could several carts selling different things. Some sold hot cross buns others sold ice cream, there was even a cart which sold kites. Enjoying the moment she kind of wished the others were there with them, enjoying the day and relaxing for once.

Eventually, Vetha unlocked the door and left her room, the bin full of food and her bed unmade. In her hand was a book as she walked downstairs and into the living room. Sitting in a chair, she snapped it open and began reading. She stifled a yawn, and turned a few more pages.

"Yeah" said Tiffany looking around at all the food carts. She hadn't thought to bring any money with her.

She smiled when a couple of young boys, probably brothers by their appearance, ran past the two of them and headed straight for the trees. One of them was yelling to the other to promise to count to a full hundred and no cheating. Tiffany guessed they were going to play hide and seek.

Turning to Marisa she was about to ask if she wanted to walk around a bit or find their own place to sit in the sun when something caught her attention. Something red was in one of the trees further down the pathway. At first Tiffany thought it might be a toy, but when she squinted slightly to see through the branches she realised it was a head. Only one person she knew had hair that colour.

"Oh no. What is he doing here?"

“Who?” Marisa asked as she looked around. She didn’t see anyone at first when she looked around, it was only when Marisa followed Tiffany’s line of sight. It took her a few seconds to see who it was causing her to freeze in her footsteps.

“Lets not confront him or let him see us. I’m not in the mood for him.” She spoke to Tiffany as she turned around. “We can relax on some other part of the park.”

Even thou Marisa tried to ignore him she found it a bit hard. Her stomach was starting to tie in a knot and she wasn’t even sure why. Well besides the fact that he annoys her and scare her a little there was something else bothering her about him.
