Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) ✫ requests masterlist ✫ drawing requests: Glyndlamir - Seira J. Loyard - Fullbody with dress, put-up hairdo, and earrings. - Complete! GalaxyPassion13 - I'd like a 16 year old-ish girl with brown, braided hair and blue eyes with kinda like a tear-drop face (Like those two color tests you did at the top of this page). The art would be from the chest up, and she's wearing a brown spaghetti-strap shirt with one strap off the shoulder. It would be awesome if a bow quiver was strapped to her back (since I normally RP as an archer), and a blue hair-tie that matches the eyes for the braid - Complete! Enderkid - sketch request of this - Complete! frand - Add from the game Elsword. - Complete! Enderkid - this.- Complete! Enderkid - This couple. - Complete! seacatsmew - Waist-long straight hair, cat ears and matching tail. Eyes with cat pupils and no whites or whatever it's called. 5 feet tall. Female. Wears a long-sleeved shirt and jeans and boots but I don't care if you're doing a full-body or just from the waist up; Your choice. The eyes have white pupils and black otherwise. - Complete! Enderkid - Espurr - Complete! KoalaNoob - Could you draw a girl in robes, holding up a staff and casting a spell? She should have shoulder length hair that curls up at the end, and a shorter dress under her robe. - Complete! KoalaNoob - A running tiger - Complete! Enderkid -my wife butterfly princess - Complete! Posted May 27, 2014 For picking the tablet up only a month or so again, you're doing pretty good! One thing I can say is to just keep practicing on anatomy, and hands. Hands are killers. I might stalk to see your improvement hehe e u e Share this post Link to post

I might stalk to see your improvement hehe e u e Ah thank you so much! <3 That's good to hear ^^ Oh geeze yes hands are killers! Anatomy is difficult too...I'll look up some stock photos and study those, thank you very much! ^^ I'll definitely keep practising for sure. c: Huehuehue well stalk away! / v \ Share this post Link to post
Posted May 27, 2014 Now I may be no good whatsoever at drawing human faces, I have studied human anatomy a bit (making an ape-dragon kinda makes learning human anatomy inevitable |D )) so I will willingly assist with any anatomical help you may want. Hands are absolutely evil - I still create 'wire frames' for them @-@ Share this post Link to post
Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) Stock photos are reaaallly good to study. If you have a deviantart account, then this persons stock photos are the best. She does really great pose photos <3 Whenever I need help with hands I just look them up. It's pretty easy to find reference pictures if you type in a few key words :> Edited May 27, 2014 by littlelizzie Share this post Link to post

Hands are absolutely evil - I still create 'wire frames' for them @-@ Thank you so much! c: <3 Oh yes I should probably study some anatomy...Always helpful when trying to draw accurately! I'm sure you're wonderful at drawing human faces ^^ And even if not, you will be! c: Wire frames? As in actual frames? Stock photos are reaaallly good to study. If you have a deviantart account, then this persons stock photos are the best. She does really great pose photos <3 Whenever I need help with hands I just look them up. It's pretty easy to find reference pictures if you type in a few key words :> Oh yes that's true c: I don't have a deviantart just yet, but I have been thinking of making one ^^ Ohh but I do stalk a lot and YES I love her stock photos! She has amazing poses and so many <3 Oh probably! c: Google is magical, yes It's so good to know I have people here I can ask as well as the internet <3 This'll be fun! ^^ Share this post Link to post

Wire frames as in I draw appropriately sized circles for joints connected by lines. Helps tons to figure out proportions and everything! I tend to mark out the skull, shoulders and majority of the chest, hips, elbows, knees, ankles and almost everything else jointy. Some joints like the atlas and the axis don't need to be marked Nudges that emoticon off Edited May 27, 2014 by rampaging wyvern Share this post Link to post
Posted May 27, 2014 I never used wire frames. I thought they were kind of weird, and they really didn't help me. However, since I'm trying to acquire a more anime-cartoonish style I'm not looking at realistic |D I actually use like, stick men kind of? I draw a torso and then make sticks and circles for joints. Sometimes. I get lazy a lot and just draw lines. Share this post Link to post

So that's what those are called, good to know c: drawing has so many steps omg Thank you for this info, I'm probably going to look more into wire frames! ^^ Googles them whoa they look complicated ew emotioncons I never used wire frames. I guess it depends on the artist ^^ Ah, I see! ^^ I love anime styles, they're so cutesy c: But realistic is so pretty as well ^^ Ahaha omg that's what I kinda do too! I start with a stickman and then start drawing circles and boxes. It somehow works out. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 27, 2014 So many steps? Naaaw all I do is the wire frame, then the basic sketch, then a further refined sketch to fix up issues, then the final lineart, then the shading... Actually that is rather a lot. Perhaps I ought to do a step by step thingummie showing how I use those frames? o3o When working realistically they're very useful, because realism leaves little room for error. But then again, I guess it depends on style. I've never enjoyed drawing anything other than realism - once I stopped doing box animals. x) Share this post Link to post

Ohh that would be so helpful! ^^ As long as it's not a bother or anything, yes please! ^^ Ah yes, that's true...But realistic works are absolutely stunning! Yes, it really does depend on style ^^ I'm so conflicted between wanting to do realism and anime, oops. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) Oh my God! I just realized, Wyvern, you're that person who has the really super duper amazing art! I soo love your art asdfghjkl-- *cough* sorry sorry. Just spazzing. I really want to get good at traditional art haha. I think realism can be pretty tricky. I've always loved cartoons, and getting into multiple other fandoms has introduced me to lots of different styles. I just look at them and then try a different approach to my art. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Lunevis, you can make a style that's between realistic and anime! It just requires focus. You just gotta find your style yeah~ Edited May 27, 2014 by littlelizzie Share this post Link to post
