Background: Nyoka, a star, was discovered in the early 22nd century by astronomers Andrew Nyen and David Moka. These two people started a small company called GenCorp which would take space exploration to the next level. By the late 22nd century, a man by the name of Frederick Zeima had finally finished creating the GenCorp Space Probe Reporter. This space probe would eventually lead to the discovery of a planet orbiting Nyoka which was just like Earth: Zeima. It took a very long time for the probe to arrive to its destination and it took a few years to gather samples and data from Zeima. After that, it took a very long time for the probe to finally reach back to Earth. Unfortunately, Frederick Zeima wasn't alive by the time the probe got back. The planet was named Zeima in his honor. It was shocking to see that this star had many planets orbiting around it and to the Earth's surprise, there was at least one habitable planet. Soon enough, GenCorp had many investors and it quickly rose higher than NASA (and eventually NASA merged with GenCorp) due to its rapid success. GenCorp teamed up with the powerful governments of Earth and together in the mid 23rd century, the world established Project Nyoka. This project was designed to be the start of a new space age and elevate the human race above and beyond the cosmos. Once GenCorp scientists and engineers first landed on Zeima, they got to work right away and started up a spaceport in Garnesto so that more and more people could land safely on the surface.

What's the genre of the site? Fantasy, medieval fantasy, real-life adopts...?

We might need a few adoptables as an example/request, so yeah. :]

So you may request dragons, serpents, griffins, blah, bleh, sea monsters, and stuff like that. And if you had dragon or any concepts for DC, they will probably have a much higher chance of getting into Nyoka... Just saying. Thanks!

I finally joined. :3 I don't know if my introduction needs to be approved before it's seen (because I don't see it, even though I clicked "send" o.O) so I'll wait to post the creature suggestions I have. :3

The site will be released in a few weeks and we need a few more creatures! Lets all sign up there and start making sprites and sketches. If you have any dragons or so here for requesting, they'll probably have a much higher chance in getting in nyoka.

I've checked it out and signed up, but there's practically no info about what Nyoka actually is. It's an adoptables site, yeah, but that's all I can find out. I do see lots of references to avadopts, but I've never been to that site and don't really plan on going there either...

I'll give everyone some info here and on the forums.

Nyoka is a distant solar system that was found by GenCorp (A company that is helping humans find new places to live). They see that the star Nyoka has life on it's planets and they decide to move there and name the solar system Nyoka. They open up a project called "Project Nyoka" in order to have humans colonize the one earth-like planet, Zeima. When they started to explore, they found a vast diversity of creatures and ecosystems living and thriving on all of the planets, including the sun, Nyoka. GenCorp is letting people live on Zeima and journey out to the other planets (Even Zeimas habitable moon!) to seek creatures and secrets of this solar system.

That's all I've got so far lol And we're copyrighted, so anyone thinking of stealing the idea will be roasted |D

You see, some of the sprites in the OP were originally for DC but the artist decided that there was a way better chance of getting it for Nyoka.

Ooh, lovely. D'ya think it would be possible to make the background a repeating starry sky/space image instead of plain purple? It'd be really pretty.
