Posted April 21, 2014 Egg credits list is posted. And I'll explain mine now. The red hatchling is a bit of a nod to all those "Nope nope nope." memes you see around. Only dragon-iish. No other special references. The other is very loosely based on the first stanza of a poem by William Blake: "To see a World in a Grain of Sand And a Heaven in a Wild Flower, Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand And Eternity in an hour." I put the world in a soup bubble egg. Where is the credits list? I can't find it in the news section. Loved both of your eggs! Share this post Link to post
Posted April 21, 2014 Credits list is in the second post of this topic =) Share this post Link to post
Posted April 21, 2014 I'm a major LOTR/Hobbit fan, so seeing Smaug's eye awakening from Shajana's sprite absolutely made my entire week!!! /o/ Share this post Link to post
Posted April 21, 2014 Finished and sooo many lovely eggs kudos to the artists involved I have to say my fave is Fiona's red dragon resealing himself in his egg after taking a look at what was in store for him Share this post Link to post

Posted April 21, 2014 Sorry for the newbie question, but how does this work? Where are the eggs to be found? Randomly popping up? Share this post Link to post
Posted April 21, 2014 Sorry for the newbie question, but how does this work? Where are the eggs to be found? Randomly popping up? In the cave, not the forum, on any page except the lineage pages. Just keep clicking around or refreshing. They'll appear at 10 - 15 minute intervals. Happy hunting! (Description reviewing's a good way to pass the time; they'll pop up there, too!) Posted April 21, 2014 For those who might wonder what my egg (the gray and orange one) references... Look at the egg. Now look at the chest area of Gordon Freeman's hazard suit. Now look at the egg again. *runs away* Share this post Link to post
Posted April 21, 2014 Finished! My favorite is still Fiona's reluctant dragon hatchling, but there are some seriously gorgeous eggs, not a clunker in the bunch! Thank you again to TJ and all our very talented spriters! Share this post Link to post

Posted April 21, 2014 I just caught the last of them. They are all so well done! It is almost impossible to pick a favorite, so I won't even try. Some of them have incredible detail, but even the simplest of them are lovely. Thanks so much to all the artists who worked on this event and to TJ for bringing it to us. Another fantastic Festival of Eggs! Share this post Link to post
Posted April 21, 2014 Only 18 more to go. I love all the eggs this year, and the banner is sooo cute! WB Share this post Link to post
Posted April 21, 2014 The karate egg has all the belts (except for Little Dragons) at the dojo where I am training to be an instructor. We also do jiujitsu but I didn't really have time or the know-how to show that in egg form! If you look closely (harder to see on some colors than others) you can see three black stripes appear before the belt "promotes" to the next color. We use black stripes to remind us of what our ultimate goal is. As for the Hungry Caterpillar, it was my favorite book as a child and my sons both adore it too. I need to get busy catching eggs since I was busy all day yesterday! Share this post Link to post
Posted April 21, 2014 Damn. Still working on getting all of mine, but a bit sad since references this year are mostly flying over my head Kinda irritating since I was able to nail most of the references during the two previous years :/ Is there any master list of them, or if there isn't would it be possible to ad references in art credit post? Thank all of you guys on wonderful eggs Share this post Link to post
Posted April 21, 2014 Ohno, I totally missed this! Gotta grab as much as possible this last day! Share this post Link to post
Posted April 21, 2014 AWWW YEEE FESTIVAL OF EGGS Loving the Creeper and Avengers ones. Either way, that is some amazing work by the artists on each egg. Here's hoping I can catch a decent number of them before they go away again. *glances over to the one egg each she's earned on the other Festivals* >_> Share this post Link to post
Posted April 21, 2014 I'm a major LOTR/Hobbit fan, so seeing Smaug's eye awakening from Shajana's sprite absolutely made my entire week!!! /o/ Thank you I am glad you like it. I had very early an idea what I want to make for the event. When I watched the 2nd Hobbit movie I fall in love with Smaug, so I had to do the moment when he wakes up. It was not that easy to make the eye, I wanted to make sure that many of you can see which eye it is without any descriptions from me, but I think I was able to do that. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 21, 2014 Just managed to complete my collection, and my last egg was the beautiful pinecone! Thank you to all the spriters for your gorgeous creations - there isn't a single one I don't like. Share this post Link to post
